Judy Thomas (Padgett) Hatchett

Judy Padgett Hatchett, age 74, of Georgetown, KY formerly of Springfield, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

She was born in Lebanon, KY on May 19, 1952 to the late George Thomas “G.T.” and Essie McCarty Padgett.

She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, a 1971 graduate of Washington County High School, attended Spencerian College and was a retired employee of Lincoln Trail Home Health.

Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Huddleston (Starla) of Springfield; a daughter, Katrina Ann Hatchett of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Haley Young (Brent), Gavin Huddleston and Jaylin Morris; a great granddaughter, Jesslynn Young, and a sister, Mary Ann Weakley of Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 3rd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John McDaniel officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Aaron Sherrell.

Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Dewayne Weakley.

Serving as casket bearers will be Gavin Huddleston, Jaylin Morris, Brent Young, Richard Weakley, Paul Simmons and Austin Call.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Thursday and after 8:00 Friday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
