Joseph "Frankie" Franklin Hooper

Joseph F. “Frankie” Hooper, age 75, of Springfield, KY passed away at 5:22 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.

He was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on August 30, 1950 to the late Marshall and Mary Elizabeth Curtsinger Hooper.

He was a member of the Brush Grove Baptist Church and a retired employee of Sansbury Care Center.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Gribbins on September 21, 1994; a sister, Mildred Ann Hooper on January 14, 2016 and a brother, Ronnie Raymond Hooper on November 10, 2017.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannie Hill Hooper; a brother, John Hooper (Sharon) of Richmond and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Wednesday, May 20th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John McDaniel, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Ricky Cheatham.

Burial will be on Cemetery Hill.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Tuesday and after 8:00 Wednesday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
