Joseph Harold Weakley, age 85, of Louisville, KY, formerly of the Mooresville Community of Washington County, passed away at 10:44 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2024 at his home in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, he was born on July 17, 1938 to the late Marshall and Lena Mae Harlow Weakley.
He was a member of the Shively Christian Church, an army veteran and a retired truck driver for ABF Freight Company.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Marlene Dearinger Weakley on April 21, 2017; a grandson, Cameron J. Fries on November 14, 2021; an infant grandson, Nolan Jared Fries on December 24, 1993 and a sister, Bettie Carol Dean on January 12, 2023.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Fries (Tim) of Louisville; a son, Scott Weakley (Leslie) of Willisburg; five grandchildren, Marshall Weakley, Madison Weakley, Lauren Fries Hatton, Leslie Fries and Conner Fries; a sister, Nancy Foster of Louisville and a brother, Jesse Weakley (Bettie) of Portland, OR.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 22nd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Johnson, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Friday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
