John Frank Key, Jr., age 49, of Bardstown, KY formerly of, Springfield passed away at 1:51 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was born on July 18, 1972 in Lebanon, KY to Mary Bernadette Trigg and John Frank Key, Sr.
He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a 1986 graduate of Washington County High School, a former employee of the Springfield Laundry and Midwest Stamping.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Frank “BaBa” Key, Sr. on March 1, 2016.
Survivors include his son, Justin Reed (Brittany) of Bardstown; a step-daughter, Tressia Hill of Lebanon; a step-son, Cody Hill of Campbellsville; five grandchildren; his mother, Mary Bernadette Key of Bardstown; a brother, Jeff Churchill (Felicia) of Georgia; four sisters, Shawna Hazelwood of Lebanon, Christy Key of Springfield, Kelli Graham (Phillip) and Meghan Mayfield of Louisville; a step-brother, Wesley Keene (Tiffany) of Shelbyville and three step-sisters, Jennifer Keene of Lexington, Jasmine Keene of Springfield and Angela Hayden (Peter) of Louisville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 9th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Edmund Ditton, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9:00 Wednesday morning at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
