John Allen Hood

John Allen Hood, age 56, of Willisburg, Kentucky passed away at 12:01 p.m., Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort.

He was born in Lebanon, Kentucky to David Allen and Imogene Hall Hood on October 30, 1968.  He was a graduate of Washington County High School, the parts sales manager of AutoZone Auto Parts in Harrodsburg and a truck driver. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.

Preceding him in death was his father, David Allen Hood on July 19, 2014.

Survivors include his wife, Felecia Sutton-Hood; two daughters, Amanda Hood of Willisburg and Oriel Eksi of Washington, DC; a son, Justus Hood of Willisburg; a step-son, Zackory Shephard of Lawrenceburg; two step-daughters, Lexi Darnell and Kaylee Darnell, both of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren, Valentine Elder and Malachi Hood; his mother, Imogene Hall Hood of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Marlena Corbin (Joel) of Lawrenceburg and Lisa Marie Buckman (Jay) of Campbellsville and a Godson, Tony Wathen of Louisiana.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, May 28th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Farrell, officiating.

Burial will be in the Brush Grove Cemetery at Willisburg.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
