Joseph Martin “Jody” Linton, age 62, of Springfield, KY passed away at 6:03 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
He was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on December 18, 1962 to the late John William “Billy” and Rebecca Yocum Linton.
Jody was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a 1980 graduate of Washington County High School; an Army Veteran and an employee of Toyotomi of Springfield.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Angela Louise Robinson Linton on November 18, 2020 and a daughter, A’lasia Linton.
Survivors include four daughters, Lavonda “Nicky” Randle of Louisville, Andrea Robinson of Springfield, Jazzlin Linton of Smyrna, TN and A’Marria Linton of Springfield; a son, Joseph Linton, Jr. (Crystal) of Lexington; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two brothers, James A. Linton of Lebanon and Harland A. Linton (LarSandra) of Louisville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 14th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Pier Giorgio Dengler, O.P., officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Thursday evening at the Carey & Son Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 5:00. Visitation on Friday morning will be after 9:00 at the church until time of the funeral.
