Jane Renee Mudd

Jane Renee Mudd, age 60, of Hazard, KY, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 7:19 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center in Hazard.

She was born on January 21, 1963 in Lebanon to the late William C. “Billy” and Bettylene Walls Mudd.

She was a 1981 graduate of Washington County High School, she was employed as a CNA, a member of the New Beginnings Community Church and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her former husband, Jack Thompson.

Survivors include two sons, Jonathan Thompson and Jeremiah (Nettie) Thompson of Hazard; seven grandchildren, Devyn Tingle, Calob Sizemore, Jeremma Sizemore, Josh Sizemore, Destiny Baker, Jessalyn Thompson and Allie Ricks; two great grandchildren, Kylee Rose Baker and Ashton Baker; a brother, Martin (Connie) Mudd of Springfield and a nephew, William (Angela) Mudd of Willisburg.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 28th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Thompson, officiating.

Cremation will follow the funeral service.

Visitation will be from 12 until 4 Wednesday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
