James H. “Bucky” Chesser

James H. “Bucky” Chesser, age 77, of Willisburg, KY passed away at 11:46 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

A native of Washington County, he was born on June 25, 1947 to the late Johnny and Delcie Pearl Lewis Chesser.

He was a retired employee of Fischer’s Packing Company.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Rev. Brenda Sue Thompson Chesser on June 7, 2006; three sisters, Margaret Chesser, Pearlie Helen Chesser and Ethea Barr and six brothers, Leo, Cleo, John William, Bobby, Carl Lee and Jody Chesser.

Survivors include his wife, Deanna Rose Chesser;  a son, James Dewayne Chesser (Sonya) and a daughter, Debra Puckett (Tony) both of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, Laiken Chesser Croce (Hunter), Dusty Puckett (Sydney), LaTally Puckett and Cordell Chesser, a great grandchild, Maggie Puckett and a step son, Andrew Langford (Quincy).

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23rd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating.  He will be assisted by Rev. Garry Ferguson.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be LaTally Puckett and Laiken Croce.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cordell Chesser, Dusty Puckett, Marty Chesser, John Chesser, Gary Wayne Standiford and Mike Chesser.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday and after 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
