James Calvin “Jim” Carey, age 63, of East Fork Road, Mackville, KY passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at his residence.
He was born in Lebanon, KY on October 27, 1960 to the late John Calvin and Opal Helen Wohner Carey.
He was a member of the Rockbridge Baptist Church, a farmer and carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Boblitt Carey; a son, James Tyler Carey of Bardstown; a daughter, Ashley Christina Carey of Springfield and two sisters, Debra Sparrow and Mary Carey both of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 11th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Terry McIlvoy, officiating.
Burial will be in the Battle Cemetery at Mackville.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made toward funeral expenses.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Saturday and after 9:00 Sunday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
