James Albert Adams, age 87, of Commercial Avenue, Springfield, KY passed away at 4:31 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
A native of Washington County, he was born on July 28, 1936 to the late Oscar and Offie Pinkston Adams.
He was a member of the Brush Grove Baptist Church, a retired employee of the City of Springfield where he worked for thirty-one years and also was employed by the Springfield Water and Sewer Company for thirteen years.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Margie Curtsinger Adams on September 15, 2009; two sons, Dewayne Adams on January 17, 2016 and James Keith Adams on November 5, 2020 and six sisters, Linda Haydon, Pearl Anna Reynolds, Mary Frances Lanham, Bonnie Sowers, Betty Ann Lewis and Beatrice Lewis.
Survivors include a sister, Nellie Lawson of Springfield and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Friday, May 24th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Everett Hood, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Thursday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
