Harold Dane “Buck” Cooksey, Jr.

Harold Dane “Buck” Cooksey, Jr., age 78, of Willisburg, KY passed away at 11:13 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

A native of Washington County, he was born on March 15, 1944 to the late Harold D., Sr. and Nettie Baker Cooksey.

He was a member of the Willisburg Baptist Church, a farmer, a navy veteran, a retired employee of North American Pipe Factory and co-owner of Cooksey Repair and Parts.

Preceding him in death was his sister, Bonnie Pharris.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Cheatham Cooksey; a son Paul Cooksey and his wife, Renee; a daughter, Lisa Cooksey and his granddaughter, Andrea Cooksey all of Willisburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Terry McIlvoy, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Lewis, Danny Satterly, Connie Robinson, Jessie Carney and Phillip Coulter.

Serving as casket bearers will be Ricky Satterly, Eric Satterly, James C. Yaste, Jeremy Yaste, David Yaste and Terry Boblitt.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Tuesday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
