Gracie Burkhead Byrd Marks, age 88, of, Willisburg, KY passed away at 10:20 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the home of her daughter, Patricia Baker.
A native of Washington County, she was born on May 25, 1937 to the late Ezra and Ruthie Prather Burkhead.
She was a member of the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, James E. Byrd on Nov. 23, 2009; her second husband, Danny Ray Marks on July 15, 2018; a son, Jackie Eugene Byrd on Sept. 2, 2016; a grandson, Jonathan Byrd on Jan. 10, 2012; four brothers, Enoch “Bud”, Floyd, Irvin and Everett Lee Burkhead and ten sisters, Agnes Burkhead, Naomi Curtsinger, Eva Ervin, Ethel Hood, Edith Sallee, Bessie Sparrow, Dora Mae Humes, Dessie Boblitt, Geneva Ritchie and Maeola Chesser.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Baker and Loretta Byrd (Johnny Kirsch); a son, Eddie Byrd all of Willisburg; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Byrd of Lebanon; seven grandchildren, Nicole Mudd (Kevin), Daniel Stark (Sasha), Joshua Baker (Kasey), Michael Baker (Sara), Amanda Medley (Charlie), Brittany Stone and Heather Byrd.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13th at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Keith Creech officiating.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Byrd, Daniel Stark, Kevin Mudd, Johnny Kirsch, Tom Pendleton and Brett Hudson.
Visitation will be at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy on Tuesday from 4 until 8 and after 8:00 Wednesday morning.
