Geraldine (Byrd) Baker

Ruby Geraldine Byrd Baker, age 74, of Bardstown, KY passed away at 8:02 a.m., Monday, May 13, 2024 at her home in Bardstown.

A native of Washington County, she was born on November 28, 1949 to the late James Willard and Frances Lewis Byrd.

She was a member of the New Birth Mission in Loretto.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Rev. Larry Baker on August 2, 2017; a daughter, Vickie Lynn Noel on July 24, 2020; a grandson, William Brady Hagan on April 1, 1995; two brothers, Jessie J. Byrd on July 18, 1993 and Darrol Byrd on October 7, 2022 and two sisters, Linda Faye Merriman on November 6, 2013 and Louella Merriman on March 18, 2017.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Baker (Janet Jenkins) of Bardstown and Chris Baker (Angel) of Willisburg; a daughter, Rhonda Hagan of Willisburg; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn O’Bryan (Charles) of Springfield and a brother, Norman Byrd (Debbie) of Willisburg.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Reynolds, officiating.

Burial will be in the Baker Family Cemetery at Willisburg.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Hagan, Nick Hagan, Bryce Baker, Brady Baker, Logan Tarrence and Todd Noel.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Wednesday and after 8:00 Thursday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
