Gayle (Davis) Worthington

Gayle Davis Worthington, age 69, of Springfield, KY passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her home.

She was born in Danville, KY on June 8, 1954 to the late Kenneth Edward and Dorothy Christerson Davis.

She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, a 1972 graduate of Washington County High School, attended Eastern Kentucky University and was a retired recreational director of the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center.

Preceding her in death was a nephew, Clark Douglas Elliott on June 20, 1993 and a brother-in-law, Douglas C. Elliott on February 13, 2020.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Worthington (Jodi) of Liberty Township, Ohio and Adam Worthington (Angela) of Springfield; six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ethan, Skyler, Taylor, Gavin and Gage Worthington; four sisters, Kathy Elliott of Springfield, Linda Leugers (Don) of Lexington, Jill Settles (John) of Springfield and Dee Hilton (John) of Willisburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16th at the Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Aaron Sherrell, the church pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Settles, John Hilton, Don Leugers, John Bodine, Blake Smith, Casey Hutchens and Kyle Johnson.

Visitation will be at the Springfield Baptist Church on Friday from 4 until 8 and after 9:00 Saturday morning.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, The Springfield Baptist Church or Central Kentucky Community Theater, Inc.(Lighting Project)
