Frances Logsdon Russell, age 92, of Springfield, KY passed away at 9:25 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2022 at her home.
A native of Washington County, she was born on January 25, 1930 to the late Silas Ray and Annie Lou Noe Logsdon.
She was a member of the Springfield Christian Church, a 1948 graduate of Mackville High School, an employee of the former Ward’s IGA of Springfield and retired from the Lincoln Homestead State Park.
Preceding her in death was her husband, William Martin Russell on February 8, 2016; her grandson, Timothy Martin Russell on December 10, 2006; three sisters, Edna Cocanougher on September 12, 1959, Etta Neat on November 19, 2015 and Joyce Burton on February 23, 2019 and four brothers, John Logsdon on December 25, 1989, Charlie Logsdon on July 5, 1996, Fleece Logsdon on January 23, 1998 and Eugene Logsdon on January 16, 2006.
Survivors include her son, Terry Russell of Springfield; a granddaughter, Melissa Flannery (Scott) of Lexington; a great grandson, Timothy Blake Flannery; a sister, Norma Pinkston of Mackville; four sisters-in-law, Donna Logson, Kay Burkhead and Frances Yaste all of Springfield and Billie Ann Russell of Mackville; two brothers-in-law, Clifton Russell of Mackville and Harlan Burton of Columbia and three special young ladies Anne Campbell, Julie Dickerson and Hollie Burns.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 12th at the Springfield Christian Church with Bro. Larry A. Wilson, a former minister, officiating. He will be assisted by Bro. Roland Youmans, the church minister.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Clifton Yaste, Russell Burkhead, Bobby Lee Russell, Kevin Russell, Jeff Russell and Jacob Settles.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Tuesday morning at the church.
