Ethel Mae (Chesser) Sagrecy

Ethel Mae Chesser Sagrecy, age 91, of Bardstown, formerly of Washington County, passed away at 2:05 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Landmark of Bardstown Nursing Home.

A native of Washington County, she was born on March 12, 1933 to the late Estill and Dorothy Mae Pendygraft Chesser.

She was a former employee of Leggett-Platt Company of Middletown.

Preceding her in death was her husband, James Edward Sagrecy on April 29, 1992; her son, James Harold Sagrecy; two sisters, Hazel Begley and Mattie Sanders and a brother, Harold Lee Chesser.

Survivors include her grandson and his wife, Dale and Renee Sagrecy of Bardstown; two great grandchildren, Michael Sagrecy of Bardstown and Kayla Waldridge (Trevor) of Bloomfield; a great great grandson, Colton Waldridge; a brother, William Chesser (Elaine) of Hodgenville; three nieces, Connie Schmidt (Paul), Andrea Liver (John) and Rena Hall (Michael) and two great nieces, Cheree Brooks (Taylor) and Sabrina Hardesty Wayne (Shelby).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 10th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 10:00 Monday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
