Elizabeth Ellen Holderman Weakley, age 83, passed away at 12:50 a.m., Sunday, March 21, 2021 at her home in the Mooresville Community of Washington County.
She was a native of Washington County, born on March 4, 1938 to the late Richard and Christine Crain Holderman.
She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, a graduate of Springfield High School and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Marvin Cecil Weakley on April 11, 1994; a sister, Mary Frances Holderman on March 23, 2014; two brothers, Rev. Joseph Harold Holderman on May 31, 1992 and Robert Morris “Bob” Holderman on October 27, 2020.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Jean Weakley of Lebanon; her granddaughter, Jenny Marie (John) Higdon; four great grandchildren, Eli Hinton, Owen Hinton, Cecilia-Ellen Higdon and Alexander Higdon and a brother, Charles Wesley Holderman all of Springfield; one nephew and three nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 22nd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Proctor, pastor of the Central Baptist Church in Lebanon, officiating.
Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be DeWayne Weakley, Wes Holderman, Willie Weakley, Kerry Nelson, Clifton Weakley and David Gruber.
Visitation will be after 12 noon Monday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
