Elaine “Tooty” (Shewmaker) Hatchett

Elaine “Tooty” Shewmaker Hatchett, age 90. of Mackville, KY passed away at 10:50 a.m., Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home.

A native of Washington County, she was born on March 10, 1932 to the late Harmon and Blanche Royalty Shewmaker.

She was a member of the Mackville Christian Church, attended Mackville High School and was a retired employee of Cricketeer Manufacturing Company.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Hilry Paul Hatchett on July 7, 2005 and two sisters, Joyce Sutton on January 11, 2020 and Loveda Scott on April 19, 2022.

Survivors include her son, Marty Hatchett and his wife, Jeannie of Mackville; two grandchildren, Jessica Bodenhamer and her husband, Paul and Justin Hatchett and his wife, Brittany; three great grandchildren, Avery, Colton Hatchett and Harper Bodenhamer; a sister, June Shewmaker and a brother, Carlton Shewmaker both of Mackville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Paul Hatchett, officiating,

Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Joe Scott, Gary Scott, Doug Hatchett, Lanny Sutton, Ernie Perry and James Clifton Yaste.

Visitation will be after 10:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
