Edward “Eddie” Price Cornish

Edward “Eddie” Price Cornish, age 74, of Mackville, KY passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Lebanon, KY on December 15, 1948 to the late Charles R. and Frances Pauline Stine Cornish.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a Vietnam Army veteran with the 101st Airborne Division.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Carol Lewis and two brothers, Dickie Cornish and Walter Cornish.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Patricia “Pat” McCarty Cornish; two daughters, Carita Coulter (Jeremy) and Brandy Chesser (Shane) of Springfield; three sons, Stanley McCarty (Crystal) of Harrodsburg, Jonathon Cornish of Mackville and Jeremy Cornish (Spring) of Harrodsburg; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one brother, Larry Cornish (Mary Jane) of Louisville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 9th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Harmon, Aaron McCarty, Brandon Chesser, Tyler Coulter and Blake Coulter.

Serving as casket bearers will be Stanley McCarty, Jonathon Cornish, Jeremy Cornish, Steven McCarty, Daniel Driscoll and Brandon Cornish.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Wednesday and after 8:00 Thursday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
