Eddie Noel, age 73, of Thompsonville, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Norton Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville, KY.
Eddie was born in Lebanon on December 5, 1950 to the late Julius Clifton and Mildred Barnett Noel.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, James “Jimmy” Noel.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty years, Lois Ann Brady Noel and two daughters, Allena Jo Noel Hamilton and Kelly Jean Noel Bowen (Jeremy) all of Washington County. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Courtney Hazel Corey, Kaci Jo Corey Templeton (Chris), Mason Todd Hamilton, Anna Clay Davis, Mallory Brooke Hamilton and Eddie Lee Bowen; four great grandchildren, Kaelynn Blair, Eleanor Ruth, Hazel Joanna and Coraline Jean; two brothers, Julius “Judy” Noel, Jr. of Lawrenceburg and Paul Noel (Carolyn Hardin) of Springfield and a sister, Brenda Jones of Harrodsburg. Eddie was also loved by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eddie lived life to the fullest and enjoyed making people laugh and never met a stranger. Eddie was a pillar to his community and was proudly responsible for much of the construction throughout the area, as he was a self-employed carpenter. His favorite pastimes were fishing and spending time with his family. He was a lifelong member of the Thompsonville Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 31st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home, officiated by dear friend, Jeff Carnahan and assisted by Rev. David Ferrell.
In accordance to Eddie’s wishes, cremation was chosen following the service. A private inurnment service will be held at the Peter Cemetery at Mackville at a later date.
Visitation will be after 1:00 Wednesday until time of the service at 7:00 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
