Dwayne Case Obituary

Dwayne Thomas Case, age 74, of Lebanon Hill, Springfield, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 at his home.

A native of Anderson County, KY he was born in the Mt. Eden Community on January 8, 1947 to the late Willis Alonzo and Mary Elizabeth Potts Case.

Dwayne accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on November 23, 1997. He was a member of the Mackville Baptist Church, and a retired employee of the General Electric Company in Louisville, having retired in 1996 after 30 plus years of service.

He was devoted to his family and he loved them all very much. He was a proud father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending much of his time visiting and playing with his grandchildren. He was a loving brother who cherished his visits and phone calls with his siblings. Other than spending forever cherished time with family, he enjoyed fishing, stopping by flea markets and yard sales as well as repairing and selling lawnmowers. He enjoyed his daily stops and McDonald’s and Five Star for coffee and visiting with friends.

He will be forever loved and greatly missed. His daughter and grandchildren are thankful to have been blessed with such a wonderful man in their lives. He was an honest, hardworking man and a positive role model.

Preceding him in death were three sisters, Jean Milburn, Joyce Jackson and Brenda Louise Case; four brothers, James, Wilbur, Joe and Larry Case and two brothers-in-law, Ed Schmidt and Albert Milburn.

Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Kehm (Doug) of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Coulter, Justin Lee-Thomas Coulter, Joseph Alexander Kehm and Nicholas Andrew Kehm; two step grandchildren, Jacob Douglas Kehm and James Isaac Kehm; four sisters, Doris Ploetner (Glenn) and Mary Ann Conder of Shelbyville, Margurite Schmidt of Louisville and Beverly Milburn (Joe) of Chaplin; two  brothers, Harold Case (Shirley) and Donnie Case (Sue) of Lawrenceburg; his former wife and friend, Cathy Burkhead of Springfield; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Case of Louisville and Carolyn Case of Waddy and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17th at the Mackville Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Miller, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lauren Coulter, Alex Kehm, Andrew Kehm, Harold Case and Joe Milburn.

Serving as casket bearers will be Justin Coulter, Isaac Kehm, Adam Case, Lonnie Case, Shaun Case, Johnny Case, Stephen Lawson, Donnie Burkhead and David Hardin.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Wednesday evening at the Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 10:00 Thursday morning at the church.
