Dwayne Carney

Karl Dwayne Carney, age 59, of the Mooresville Community of Washington County, KY passed away at 1:28 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.

He was born in Louisville, KY on December 17, 1964.

He was a member of the Nelson County Baptist Church, a 1983 graduate of Washington County High School, he served for four years in the United States Marine Corp and was a longtime employee of Jim Beam Distillery.

Preceding him in death was an infant brother, Joseph Keeling.

Survivors include his wife, Mary “Bonnie” Clan Carney; a son, Joshua Cain Carney of Chicago; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his parents, Billy and Patricia Downs Carney of Bardstown and six brothers, Joseph “Skeets” Keeling (Denise), Troy Keeling, Ernie Keeling (Ann Marie) and Travis Carney (James Lemaster) all of Bardstown, Mike Keeling (Lisa) of Holy Cross and Sean Carney of Willisburg.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Goodlett, officiating.

In keeping with his wishes cremation will follow the funeral service.

Visitation will be after 4:00 Wednesday afternoon until time of the service at 7:00.
