Dr. David Alan Tank, age 65, of Springfield, KY passed away at 6:33 a.m., Sunday, September 29, 2024 surrounded by his close family and friends at the home of his beloved partner of 16 years in Fredericktown.
A native of Davenport, Iowa, he was born on August 19, 1959 to the late Albert William and Mary Elizabeth Leora Sourdiff Tank.
He was a 1995 graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic. He was a prominent chiropractor serving the Springfield community for over twenty years. Dr. Tank enjoyed bicycling, hiking, visiting national parks, and spending time on his farm.
Survivors include his son Zac (Savannah) Tank of Shelbyville; his sister, Joan Diane Marie (Thomas) Kaasa of Davenport, Iowa; his former wife, Melody Paul Shannon and her children, Brandon Swanson of Louisville and Nicole (Chad) Payton of Bowling Green and their three children, Skylar, Gunnar and Asher Payton; his beloved partner, Betty Hamilton of Fredericktown and her children, Curtis (Becca) Hamilton and their children, Rebecca Grace and Anna; Carolyn Hamilton and her children, Olivia (John) Figg and Ava Hamilton and Holly (Ben) Burks and their daughter, Elena Burks.
In keeping with his wish’s cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 3rd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home officiated by Todd Hill.

Visitation will be from 3 until 6 Thursday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
