Doris (Arnold) Carey

Doris Arnold Carey, age 88, of Mackville, passed away at 7:42 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2020 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center.

A native of Washington County, she was born on February 8, 1932 to the late Hubert Thurman and Mabel Simpson Arnold.

She was a member of the Willisburg Christian Church and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Paul Carey on July 12, 1995; a brother, Dickie Leon Arnold on June 12, 1983; two sisters, Genola Prather on December 26, 2005 and June Spaulding on August 1, 2015 and a niece, Doris Catherine “Cathy” Spaulding on September 4, 2018.

Survivors include a niece, Paula Brewer and her husband, Jeff; a great niece, Taylor Michelle Brewer and a great nephew, Matthew Brewer all of Cecilia.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23rd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Lance Ladd, minister of the Willisburg Christian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Visitation will be after 10:00 Wednesday morning.
