Donnie Jennett Drury

Donnie Jennett Drury, age 82, of Springfield, KY passed away at 7:35 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2023 at his home after an illness.

A native of Washington County, he was born on February 22, 1941 to the late Russell Gordon and Flora Lee Brothers Drury.

He was a member of the Fairview Christian Church, a retired farmer and formerly owned and operated Drury’s Milk Transport.

Preceding him in death was a daughter, Laurie Ann Phillips on November 23, 2022; a sister, Gayle Peach on September 19, 1984 and two brothers, J.R. Drury on May 19, 1994 and Garland Drury on February 16, 2014.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Olene Walls Drury; a daughter, Jennett Coulter (Tom) of Willisburg; a son, Steven Drury of Bardstown; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a brother, Dr. Clifton “Buster” Drury (Pat) of Lawrenceburg.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 15th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Whitaker, officiating.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tom Coulter, Dr. Cliff Drury, Philip Smitha and Junior Walls.

Serving as casket bearers will be Caleb Bell, Mark Riley, Daniel Porter, Korian Hardin, Jbias Dawson and Raymond Schneider.

Visitation will be after 10:00 Monday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
