Dewayne “Winkom” Harmon, age 64, of Springfield, KY passed away at 7:32 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2026 at his home.
He was born on August 26, 1961 in Lebanon, KY to the late Carl Kenneth “Tutor” and Dorothy Louise Lawson Harmon.
He owned and operated Harmon’s Garage for many years.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Terry Michael Harmon on June 12, 2020, two nephews, Eric Cambron and Peyton Hughes and a niece Jennifer Sparrow.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Gribbins Harmon; a daughter, Emily Inman (Charles); a son, Mason Harmon; two granddaughters, Alee and Arie Inman all of Springfield; six sisters, Patsy Grigsby, Susie Fenwick (Tony), Carlene Sparrow (Mitzi), Lisa Smith (Tony “Frog”), Pam Cambron and Diane Mattingly all of Springfield; three brothers, Kenny Harmon (Sharon) of Loretto, Dennis Harmon and Billy Harmon (Ruth) of Springfield; his mother-in-law, Gale Gribbins; grandmother-in-law, Patty Foster; brother-in-law, Billy Joe Gribbins (Amy) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 30th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Reynolds, officiating.
Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers will be Joey Sparrow, Colin Sparrow, Bobby Dean, Vincent Lewis, Michael Grigsby and Anthony Chesser.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Sunday and after 8:00 Monday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
