Norman Dewayne Byrd, age 84, of Brush Grove Road, Willisburg, KY passed away at 7:50 p.m., Thursday, August 10, 2023 at his home.
A native of Washington County, he was born on July 3, 1939 to the late Hubert and Lena Lewis Byrd.
He was a member of the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy and a retired farmer.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Kjeston Moore Byrd on April 11, 2013; a sister, Mildred Jean Curtsinger on December 5, 2020 and two brothers, Billy Allen Byrd on November 23, 1946 and Jerry Keith Byrd on March 30, 2023.
Survivors include three daughters, Norma Chesser (Ricky) of Bloomfield, Regina Hood (Damon) of Willisburg and Theresa Proctor (Mark) of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren, Derrick Chesser, Payton Chesser, Savannah King, Mallory Tweedy, Rachel Baker, Levi Hood, Lance Hood and Daylee Hood; two great grandchildren, Mia King and Lilly King and a sister-in-law, Linda Byrd of Okeechobee, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 14th at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Mike Willingham, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Derrick Chesser, Levi Hood, Lance Hood, Charles Curtsinger, Ronnie Hood, Stevie Thompson and Payton Chesser.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Sunday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 9:00 Monday morning at the church.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
