Debra Sue (Benham) Hernandez

Debra Sue Benham Hernandez, age 66, of Willisburg, KY, passed away at 1:56 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.

She was born on September 3, 1957 in Lebanon, KY to the late William Ira and Mary Bell Thompson Benham.

She was affiliated with the Church of God of Prophecy and was a former employee of Communicare.

Preceding her in death was her son, Ronald S. “Stevie” Barnes on July 16, 2020; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Irizarry on January 27, 1999, and Katherine “Kathy” Burton on November 28, 2023 and three brothers, Charles Avery Benham on January 29, 1940, Ronald Eugene Benham on November 3, 1984, and Billy Benham on March 30, 2008.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Stevie Yonvidisi Barnes, Izabella Cheyenne Barnes, and William Joseph Hunter Jacobs; a sister, Myrna Thompson (Billy) of Springfield, a daughter-in-law, Casandra Danielle Barnes; ten nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Rebecca Arlene Jacobs.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 2nd at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Mike Willingham, officiating.

There will be no visitation.
