Daniel Yates Obituary

Daniel Ray “Danny” Yates, age 64, of Mackville, KY passed away at 2:24 a.m., Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

He was born in Lebanon, KY on July 24, 1960 to the late Kenneth E. “Bud” and Bessie Mae Curtsinger Yates.

He was a member of the Willisburg Christian Church and a former employee of Wausau Paper Company of Harrodsburg and TG Kentucky of Lebanon.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Susan Michelle Lake on August 13, 2004 and two brothers, Kenneth E. Yates, Jr. on September 14, 1987 and Jeffrey Darnell Yates on December 12, 2006.

Survivors include a son, Jason Daniel Yates of Mackville; three grandchildren; a brother, Terry Yates (Teresa) of Harrodsburg; four sisters, Pam Akins (Philip) and Marilyn Walls (Johnny ) of Lawrenceburg, Jennifer Edelen of Springfield and Jackie Devers (Brent) of Willisburg and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Friday, May 30th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Lance Ladd, officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Serving as pallbearers will be Benjamin Settles, Gary Settles, Paul Collier, Wayne Collier, Forester Combs and Randy Robinson.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Thursday and after 8:00 Friday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
