Damian McLane “Mac” Warren, age 83, of Springfield, KY passed away at 1:47 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
He was born in Lebanon on November 8, 1942 to the late Damian Blandford and Martha McLane Warren.
He was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church, a graduate of Springfield High School and St. Catharine College, an Army Veteran and a retired 37 year conservation officer for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Preceding him in death was a grandson, Matthew Chesser; five sisters, Charlotte Ann Warren, Brenda J. Warren, Mary Martha “Marty” Fowler, Juanita Birch and Jenny Winstead a brother, Larry Lee Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne Knopp Warren; a son, Brad Warren (Debbie) of Springfield; two daughters, Laura Chesser (Richie) of Springfield and Trisha Thompson (David) of Lebanon; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Donna DeZarn of Louisville, Jane Livers (Dan) of Springfield and Bess Warren (Ray Harris) of Taylorsville and three brothers, Doug Warren (Bert) of Danville, Chuck Warren (Sue) of Elizabethtown and Bart Warren of Louisville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 11th at the St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Pier Giorgio Dengler, O.P., officiating.
Cremation will follow the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Thompson, Cody Thompson, Noah Warren, Waylon Young, Billy Marks and Terry Walston.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Friday and after 7:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 Friday evening at the funeral home.
