Dalton Lee Coyle, age 94, of Springfield, KY, passed away at 2:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center.
A native of Washington County, he was born on April 4, 1927 to the late Willie D. and Margie Reynolds Coyle.
He was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church, an army veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver for the former Haydon Coal & Oil Company of Springfield.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Anna Mae Key Coyle on November 7, 2021; a daughter-in-law, Mona Lisa Coyle on August 16, 2016; two infant grandsons, Charles William Coyle on July 11, 1982 and William David Coyle on July 13, 1982 and three sisters, Carolyn Godbey on December 4, 2001, Martha Frances Coyle on April 4, 2006 and Kathryn Rigney on July 2, 2016.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Coyle and David Coyle (Ruth Ann) of Bardstown; four grandchildren; Jeremy Coyle (Amber), Bradley Coyle (Abby), Brittany Barlow (Josh) and David W. Coyle (Holly); eight great grandchildren; a brother, Jimmie Coyle (Evangeline) of Springfield and five sisters, Elnora Hendren and Barbara Edwards (Billy) of Perryville, Joyce Tope (Terry) of Springfield, June Coyle and Louise Coyle both of Lexington.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 17th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Estes, pastor of the Beech Grove Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Thursday morning.
