Bobby Clifton Russell, age 86, of Mackville, KY passed away at 3:08 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
A native of Washington County, he was born on August 12, 1936 to the late Everett Vernon and Mattie Kate Coyle Russell.
He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church, a 1956 graduate of Mackville High School, a member of the Magnolia Masonic Lodge # 201 F & AM at Mackville where he was the past Master, he served twelve years in the National Guard, a farmer and a retired school bus driver for the Washington County School System with over thirty years of service.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, William Martin Russell on February 8, 2016 and Everett Lee Russell on December 22, 2020.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Ann Arnold Russell; three sons, Bobby Lee Russell (Jackie), Kevin Russell (Becky) and Jeff Russell all of Mackville; eight grandchildren, Katie Warner (Eric), Jared Russell, Tyler Russell (Hailey), Abigail Russell, John David Russell, Isaiah Russell, Brenna Russell and Jay Russell; eight great grandchildren and two sisters, Kay Burkhead and Frances Yaste both of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 6th at the Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Jordan Simpson, the church pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Nelson Reynolds.
Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Jo Boone, Garvey Barnett, Joe Terrell, Monty Elliott, Jerome Coyle and Freddie Bottoms.
Serving as casket bearers will be Terry Russell, James Clifton Yaste, Russell Burkhead, Jacob Settles, Eric Warner and Bobby Humes.
A masonic service will be held at 7:00 Monday evening at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Billy Riggs delivering the eulogy.
Visitation will be from 4:30 until 8:00 Monday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 10:00 Tuesday morning at the Unity Baptist Church.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
