Christine (Hood) Carrier

Christine Hood Carrier, age 88, of Springfield, KY passed away at 11:00 p.m., Monday, June 14, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

A native of Washington County, she was born on August 22, 1932 to the late Earl and Rosie Frances Milburn Hood.

She was a member of the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy, a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing, Hallmack of Harrodsburg and General Electric.

Preceding her in death was a granddaughter, Lydia Nicole Hankins on August 15, 2018 and five brothers, Jackie Hood on February 6, 1949, Wilmer Leon Hood on December 30, 1965, Leroy Hood on January 30, 2016, Earl William Hood on March 2, 2020 and Frankie Hood on May 25, 2020.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Carrier, two sons, Terry Tingle (Eva) of Springfield and Roger Tingle (Sheila) of Chaplin; two daughters, Judy Montgomery (Danny) of Willisburg and Teresa Franklin (Russell) of Waddy; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Donald “Duck” Hood (Marie) of Willisburg and four sisters, Vesta Lee Moore and Vianna Boblitt of Springfield, Myrna Shouse of Frankfort and Wanda Lee Popps (Jamie) of Lawrenceburg.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 18th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Willingham, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darrell Tingle, Mike Montgomery, Dustan Tingle, Justin Bishop, Anthony Waldridge Drew Tingle and Brayden Tingle.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Thursday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
