Charles Wesley Holderman, Sr., age 96, of the Thompsonville Community of Washington County, passed away at 9:58 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
A native of Washington County, he was born on November 11, 1925 to the late Richard and Christine Crain Holderman.
He was a member of the Thompsonville Baptist Church, a farmer and an Army veteran of World War II.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Anna Laura Reynolds Holderman on April 23, 2015; a daughter, Ruth Lynn Holderman on March 1, 1951; two sisters, Mary Frances Holderman on March 23, 2014 and Elizabeth Ellen Weakley on March 21, 2021 and two brothers, Rev. Harold Holderman on May 31, 1992 and Robert Morris “Bob” Holderman on October 27, 2020.
Survivors include his son, Wesley Holderman, Jr. (Kathy); two grandsons, Wesley Holderman, III and Robert Holderman (Amanda); three great grandchildren, Charlie Holderman IV, Rebecca Holderman and Kenneth Isaac Holderman; a sister-in-law, Helen Holderman all of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 15th at the Thompsonville Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Goss, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Tobe Yankey.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rebecca Lynn Holderman and Kenneth Isaac Holderman.
Serving as casket bearers will be Robert Holderman, Wesley Holderman, III, Charlie Holderman, IV, Jacob Cocanougher, Dustin Hardin and Waylon Robertson.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Sunday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 10:00 Monday morning at the Thompsonville Baptist Church.
