Carolyn (Willis) Lewis

Carolyn Willis Lewis, age 81, passed away at 8:53 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

She was born in Hart County to the late Opal “Bud” and Leora Priddy Willis on September 16, 1943.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Magnolia and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Larry Gene Lewis on March 28, 2008; a son, Ronnie Meredith on November 29, 2002 and a daughter, Edwenna Meredith on April 1, 2013.

Survivors include her daughter, Monica Lewis (Bobby) of Springfield; her son, Paul Meredith (Timberly) of Bonnieville; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a sister, Shirley Richards (Raymond) of Upton.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday October 21st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Sanders officiating. He will be assisted by Bro. Dillon Lewis.

Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Caleb Corey and Bobby Lewis.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Meredith, Jacob Meredith, Dillon Lewis, Matthew Corey, Tyler Woods and Jason Corey.

Visitation will be at the funeral home after 10:00 Monday morning until time of the service.

Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
