Calvin Grigsby

Calvin Grigsby, age 75, of Mt. Washington, KY, formerly of Washington County, passed away at 10:54 a.m., Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Baptist Health in Louisville.

He was born in Lebanon, KY on July 17, 1950 to the late Roy Franklin and Pearl Beatrice Clan Grigsby.

He was a 1968 graduate of Washington County High School, a retired employee of General Electric and a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was a sister, Beverly Spalding on March 24, 2017; a brother, Billy Grigsby on February 16, 1999; a half-brother, Roy F. Grigsby, Jr. on July 1, 2017 and two step brothers, Eddie Washburn on April 12, 2007 and Larry Washburn on June 5, 2024.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Parsons Grigsby; a son, Tony Grigsby of Daphne, AL; a granddaughter, Josie Richardson (Robbie) of Mt. Washington and two sisters, Betty Weakley and Deloris Smith (Kenny), both of Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Waldridge officiating.

In keeping with Calvin’s wishes cremation will follow the funeral service.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
