Brenda (Foster) Simpson

Brenda Foster Simpson, age 76, of Mackville, KY passed away at 8:52 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

She was born in Marion County on August 7, 1946 to the late Randolph  and Modena Peavler Foster.

She was a member of the Mackville Christian Church, a 1964 graduate of Willisburg High School and a former employee of Tack Transportation.

She was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Dale Simpson on December 7, 1967.

Survivors include her husband, Dwight Simpson; a son, Greg Simpson (Cary) of Jamestown, TN; a daughter, Karen Curtsinger (Dennis) of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Cody Curtsinger, Courtney Curtsinger and Ty Simpson; two sisters, Diann Royalty (Darrell) of Willisburg and Kathleen Russell (Mike) of Springfield and a brother, Jeffrey Foster (Dee) of Buford, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, August 25th at the Mackville Christian Church with Bro. Jim Cooper, officiating. He will be assisted by Bro. Howie Spears.

Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Simpson, Ty Simpson, Dennis Curtsinger, Cody Curtsinger, Marshall Simpson, Steven Royalty, Jacob Settles and Tristen Eldersma.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Wednesday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 10:00 Thursday morning at the church.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mackville Christian Church or Camp Calvary.

Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
