Billy Joe Jewell

Billy Joe Jewell, age 59, of Lebanon, KY formerly of Springfield, passed away at 8:58 a.m., Sunday, July 2, 2023 at his home after a brief illness.

He was born on April 14, 1964 in Carroll County to the late Robert Owen and Virginia Patrick Jewell.

Preceding him in death was a step-daughter, Zena Parrish; three sisters, Martha Fannie Jewell, Louise Lewis and Darlene Kelly and eight brothers, L.M., Elliott Lee, Marvin, Edward Thomas, Willie, Charles, Bobbie and Hollie Jewell.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline; a daughter, Tabitha Burns (William) of Bardstown; two sons, Joseph Kessinger (Cynthia) and Damon Kessinger (Nicole) of Greensburg; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Gertrude Chesser of Willisburg, Evelyine Milburn of Chaplin, Nancy Pike (Ricky) and Betty Coulter (Mike) of Springfield and four brothers, Darrell Jewell (Barbara) of Willisburg, Leslie Jewell and Tommy Jewell of Springfield and Vernon Jewell (Keri) of Bardstown.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Jewell and Bro. Vernon Jewell, officiating.

In keeping with his wishes cremation will follow the funeral service.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until time of the service Wednesday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
