Billy Gene Dean

Billy Gene Dean, age 70, formerly of Springfield, KY passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 in Campbellsville.

He was born in Lebanon, KY on October 23, 1953 to the late Willis Edgar “Bill” and Betty Lou Votaw Dean.

He was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church and was a 1973 graduate of Washington County High School. Billy enjoyed playing softball and basketball and was a retired dairy farmer.

Survivors include his sister, Glinda Beaven (Johnny); a niece, Laurie Carrico (Jeff) two great nieces, Peyton and Morgan Carrico all of Springfield; a great nephew, Derrick Carrico and a great great niece, Brynley Carrico both of Bardstown.

In keeping with his wishes cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, December 16th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Tobe Yankey, officiating.

Burial of his cremains will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.

Visitation will be from 9 until time of the service at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
