Billy Allen Carey, Sr.

Billy Allen Carey, Sr., age 86, of Willisburg, KY passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at his home.

A native of Washington County, he was born on January 17, 1939 to the late William A. and Jessie Margurite Derringer Carey.

He was a 1957 graduate of Mackville High School, an Army Veteran, and a retired employee of International Harvester.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Beverly Jean Rogers Carey on February 7, 2012 and two brothers, Michael Andrew Carey on April 22, 2010 and Mark Wayne Carey on March 21, 2013.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Bowman; a son, Billy Carey, Jr.; a grandson, Keith Ellis Carey (Heather) and three great grandchildren, Hailey, Keith Jr., and Mia all of Louisville; a sister, Marsha Withrow (Timothy) of Lebanon and a brother, Gilbert Carey (Mary Ruth) of Jeffersontown.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 14th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan William Carey, a nephew, officiating.

Burial will be in the Battle Cemetery at Mackville.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Derringer, Terry Wingler, Jordan Sparrow, Larry Haydon, Matthew Sparrow, Tyler Carey and Jimmy Lewis.

Visitation will be after 12 Noon Friday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
