Billy Gene Barnett, Jr.

Billy Gene Barnett, Jr., age 60, of Mackville Road, Springfield, KY passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at his home.

A native of Washington County, he was born on June 13, 1964 in Lebanon, Kentucky to the late Billy Gene and Joyce Noel Barnett.

He attended the Thompsonville Baptist Church, was a 1984 graduate of Washington County High School and an employee of Local Termite and Pest Control and a farmer. Billy enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He will be remembered as someone who was a friend to all animals.

Preceding him in death was a brother, Michael Noel Barnett on July 26, 2004.

Survivors include two brothers, Mark Barnett and his wife, Jane and James Barnett and his wife, Angela, all of Springfield and several nieces and nephews that Billy was very close to.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, December 29th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Goss, officiating. Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Billy Travelstead, Doug Cambron, Darrell Pearson, Michael Mann, Angela Parrish, Missy Kidwell, Brian Alvey, Trevor Higdon, Larry Goodlett and Garrett Floyd.

Serving as casket bearers will be David Barnett, Michael Barnett, Markus Romero, Jesus Romero, Donnie French, Rodney Graves, Al Lanham and Adam Mann.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Saturday and after 8:00 Sunday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
