Beulah (Hood) Ross

Beulah Hood Ross, age 90, of Willisburg, KY passed away at 6:18 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2023 at her home.  

A native of Washington County, she was born on February 6, 1933 to the late Ruel and Daisy Thompson Hood.

She was a member of the Bloomfield Church of God of Prophecy. Beulah was an exceptional homemaker enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking meals for her family and friends and spending time with them. And she was a helpmate to her husband with the chores on the farm.

Preceding her in death was her husband, William Leroy Ross on July 1, 2004; a son-in-law, Scott Crocker on August 4, 2022 and five sisters, Willa Mae Coslow on August 31, 2007, Bessie Woodall on May 12, 2015, Agnes Robinson on June 16, 2017, Ruby Pennington on February 28, 2017 and Robbie Pennington on September 13, 2020.

Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Lee Crocker; a son, Roy Lee Ross (Sherry) of Willisburg; seven grandchildren, Amanda Hardin, Samantha Smith (Matthew), Crystal Tingle (Steve), Amanda VanHook (John), Tracy Hood, Nathan Hood (Hanna) and Ashley Reid (Devan); eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 20th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Millard Ledford, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Hood, Matthew Smith, Steve Tingle, John VanHook, Devan Reid and Allen Pennington.

Visitation will be at the Carey & Son Funeral Home from 4 until 8 Tuesday and after 8:00 Wednesday morning.
