Bettie Carol Weakley Dean, age 79, of Louisville, KY passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, she was raised in the Mooresville Community, born on March 6, 1943 to the late Marshall and Lena Mae Harlow Weakley.
She was a member of the Parkland Baptist Church, a 1961 graduate of Springfield High School and a retired bookkeeper for Sewell Electronics Company.
Bettie is survived by her son, James Gregory Dean (Karen) of Shepherdsville; daughter, Ellen Dean Stich of Louisville; grandson, Tyler Stich; sister, Nancy Foster of Louisville; two brothers, Harold Weakley of Louisville and Jesse Weakley (Bettie) of Portland, OR and a special friend, Danny Carey of Lebanon.
She was a loving and devoted mother, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working puzzles and playing cards.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Tobe Yankey, officiating.
Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Springfield.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Stich, Conner Fries, Luke Mattingly, Evan Mattingly, Marshall Weakley and Marcel Odzhakhkuliyev.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home, 216 East Main Street, Springfield, KY 40069.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the New Hope Cemetery Fund.
