Betsy Lou Arnold Bradshaw, age 83, of Lexington, KY formerly of the Texas Community of Washington County, passed away at 9:13 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Lyndon Woods Care and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, she was born on May 26, 1939 to the late Arvin Wallace and Myrtle Lee Washburn Arnold.
She was a 1957 graduate of Springfield High School. She was a member of The Baptist Church at Andover in Lexington where she participated in mission trips in the United States, Russia and Poland and was a retired bookkeeper for National Mines of Lexington. Following retirement Betsy worked at McAlpin’s Department Store and Keeneland.
Betsy enjoyed and loved her grandchildren and was very supportive of them. Earlier in life she enjoyed bowling on the “Sweat Hogs” Bowling Team and always enjoyed her bridge club and playing Rook. Her favorite time of the year was decorating and entertaining at Christmas.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Johnny L. Bradshaw on January 21, 2017; a son, Robert Todd Bradshaw on July 14, 2021 and a sister, Anna Kathryn Dye on May 10, 2001.
Survivors include her son, Chris Bradshaw (Debbie Eller) of Lexington; six grandchildren, Nathan, Kyle, Logan, Shane, Tristan and Gabrielle Bradshaw, a step granddaughter, Lily Eller and her brother, Jackie Arnold of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 26th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Donavon Stewart officiating.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
