Beatrice Adams Lewis, age 82, of Springfield, KY passed away Wednesday morning, July 12, 2023 at her home.
A native of Washington County, she was born on September 22, 1940 to the late Oscar Lee and Ofie Pinkston Adams.
She was a member of the Brush Grove Baptist Church and the former office manager for Lewis Auto Salvage.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Paul Lewis on January 3, 2009; a daughter, Rita Whitaker on December 22, 2021; a grandson, Robert Eugene Shively, Jr. on February 12, 2006; five sisters, Linda Haydon, Pearl Ann Reynolds, Mary Frances Lanham, Bonnie Sowers and Betty Ann Lewis and a bonus son, Billy Joe Jewell.
Survivors include a son, Paul Edward Lewis (Kim) of Springfield; three daughters, Rose Smith (Charlie) and Judy Carney of Springfield and Peggy Moore (Gery) of Lebanon; twelve grandchildren, Billy Wayne Cheser, Joe Shively, Drew Carney, D.J. Carney, Paul Lewis, Jr., Jordan Moore, Amanda Sparrow, Marie Shively, Jean’na Lewis-Smith, LeAnn Greenwell, Molly Lewis and Jordan Smith; sixteen great grandchildren; a sister, Nellie Lawson of Springfield and a brother, James Adams of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 15th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Everett Hood, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Smith, Amanda Sparrow, Marie Shively, Jean’na Lewis-Smith, LeAnn Greenwell and Molly Lewis.
Serving as casket bearers will be Billy Cheser, Drew Carney, D.J. Carney, Jordan Moore, Joe Shively and Paul Lewis, Jr.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Friday and after 8:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
