Barbara Marilyn (Montgomery) Trayner

Barbara Montgomery Trayner, age 83, of Lexington , KY formerly of the Thompsonville Community of Washington County, passed away at 7:34 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2025 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

A native of Washington County, she was born on October 5, 1941 to the late Cecil and Lillian Devine Montgomery.

She was a member of the Thompsonville Baptist Church, a graduate of Mackville High School and was a former clerk of the Dollar General Store in Springfield.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Howard B. Trayner on March 8, 2008 and a sister, Donna Sea on October 6, 2013.

Survivors include her son, Troy Trayner and his wife, Genny of Lexington, two grandchildren Tyce Trayner and Caden Trayner and a sister, Linda Bishop and her husband, Thomas of Springfield.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18th at the Evergreen Cemetery in Williisburg with Rev. Jerry Goss, officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Thompsonville Baptist Church.
