Barbara Ann (Quillman) Crume

Barbara Ann Quillman Crume, age 77, of Louisville, KY passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the Forest Springs Health Campus in Louisville.

A native of Louisville, she was born on May 14, 1949 to the late Robert J. “Bob” and Bess Evelyn Dickmann Quillman.

She was of the Catholic faith, known for strong will to live, excellent memory, quick wit, strong faith in God, love of all music genres and poetry, vast vocabulary, playing piano and impeccable typist.

In later years, enjoyed visits with friends and cousins over the phone or in person including Father Christian Moore.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Harold “Logan” Crume on December 25, 2008; stillborn son, Benjamin Wade Crume on March 12, 1979 and a brother, James “Jim” Quillman.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Jason Shields; her grandson, Gavin Shields of Santa Claus, IN and step children, Logan, Marcie, Vince and Craig Crume.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6th at the Pleasant Grove Church, 275 Pleasant Grove Loop, Springfield, KY with Rev. Christian Moore officiating.

Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 until 3:45 p.m., Saturday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home, 216 East Main Street, Springfield, KY 40069
