Barbara Jean (Haydon) Chesser

Barbara Jean Haydon Chesser, age 86, of Willisburg, KY passed away at 4:12 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2024 at her home.

A native of Washington County, she was born on March 16, 1938 to the late Jesse B. and Geneva “Jennie” Chesser Haydon.

She was a member of the Chaplin Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Clyde Marshall Chesser on January 23, 2021; two sisters, Margaret Grigsby on November 22, 2007 and Katherine Hood on February 7, 2011 and three brothers, William Joseph Haydon on February 20, 1938, James Delbert “Jim” Haydon on March 10, 2010 and Jessie Haydon, Jr. on January 6, 2022.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Chesser (Sharon); a daughter, Lisa Moore (Timmy) all of Willisburg; two grandchildren, Craig Michaels (Lora) and Amanda Spalding (Scott); five great grandchildren, Avalyn, Jackson, Hadley, Sophie and Erika and a sister, Patsy Chesser (Billy) of Chaplin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 23rd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Hood and Rev. Gary Chesser, officiating.

Burial will be in the High View Cemetery at Chaplin.

Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Michaels, Jackson Spalding, Scott Spalding, Jackie Holt, Gerald Hood and Gary Chesser.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Sunday and after 7:30 Monday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
