Anna Lou Carey

    Anna Lou Carey, age 81, of Nicholasville, KY formerly of Washington County, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Nicholasville Nursing & Rehab Center.

    A native of Washington County, she was born on March 22, 1940 to the late Joe Washington and Leona Cornish Carey.

    Preceding her in death was a sister, Julia Young; two brothers, J.W. Carey and Leon Carey; three half-sisters, Serina Coulter, Matha Baker and Flossie Oder and two half-brothers, Raymond Thompson and Floying Thompson, Sr.

    She is survived by nieces and nephews.

    A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 16th at the Battle Cemetery with Rev. Aaron Sherrell, pastor of the Springfield Baptist Church, officiating.
