Ann Hardin Mattingly, age 88, of Mt. Washington, KY formerly of Springfield, passed away at 5:07 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Green Meadows Nursing and Rehab Center in Mt. Washington where she had resided for the past few years.
A native of Washington County, she was born on June 24, 1936 to the late James H. and Zelma Lee Haydon Hardin.
She was raised in the Hardesty Community of Washington County, a 1953 graduate of Willisburg High School, a former employee of Hardee’s of Springfield and the former Cowden Manufacturing Company and a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Springfield.
Preceding her in death was first husband, Charles Woodson “Woody” Holt on October 5, 2024, her second husband, Joseph William Mattingly on February 22, 1988; twin infant grandsons, William David Coyle, Jr. on July 13, 1982 and Charles William Coyle on July 11, 1982 and her sister, Mary Kathryn Blosser on December 5, 2015.
Survivors include her son, Alan Holt (Jackie) of Cox’s Creek; two daughters, Kelly Holt of Bardstown and Cindy Mattingly of Springfield; three grandchildren, David Coyle of Lebanon, Laura Holt-Tipton (Garrick) and Robert Holt of Louisville; five great grandchildren, Aleigha Tipton, Aiden Coyle, Joshua Holt, Trenton Coyle and Joseph Holt; a niece, Jan Simpson (John) and a great nephew, Jordan Simpson of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with her son, Alan Holt, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Laura Holt-Tipton, Aleigha Tipton, Joseph Holt, Trenton Coyle and Anna Lee Goodman.
Serving as casket bearers will be David Coyle, Aiden Coyle, Joshua Holt, Robert Holt, John Simpson and Larry Haydon.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Sunday morning until time of the service at 2:00 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
